Fosen Design & Solutions has a dedicated staff within the different disciplines required to make up a fully functional organization to handle both basic and detailed design, machinery, piping, HVAC, interior, electro, automation and hydrodynamics. They have experience from several segments and have the recent years been responsible for large conversion and refurbishment projects on passenger, offshore and aquaculture vessels.

As the Norwegian offshore sector has been a fore-runner in developing diesel-electric, battery hybrid and fuel cell solutions for the maritime industry, FDS has acquired unique competence in green technologies, which came to good use when they designed the world’s largest plug-in hybrid ferry, 160 m Color Hybrid, delivered in 2019.
