Aquaculture industry

Fosen Yard has manufactured six fish farm cages for the aquaculture industry – four of these are fabricated here at Fosen Yard and measure
51 m in diameter. They were made in four parts and welded together at our yard and two specially built barges acted as floating docks for these rather large constructions. The two last cages were fabricated in two parts at our facility in Emden, Germany, and transported on a barge to Norway, where they were welded together and commissioned. These huge steel constructions measure up to 80 m in diameter and weigh 3,500 tons.

In addition, we have executed upgrades, conversions and lengthenings on several aquaculture vessels:
